Core Transfer Map CTM
Program Description
The Core Transfer Map (CTM) is designed to provide at least 30 credits that satisfy the core general education requirements at all Oregon public universities and some participating private colleges and universities.
The CTM is ideal for students who are unsure of their intended major or transfer destination but want to ensure that their general education courses will count toward a bachelor's degree.
Program Outcomes
Students who successfully complete the Core Transfer Map will be able to:
- Communicate clearly and purposefully with awareness of the needs of different audiences and situations.
- Analyze data quantitatively as the basis for valid and reliable inferences to draw reasonable and appropriate conclusions.
- Identify and analyze complex cultural and artistic perspectives, practices, and products and their roles in society.
- Apply principles of scientific inquiry to natural and social systems.
- Analyze issues of identity and difference, power, and privilege, to promote diversity, inclusion, and equity.

Choose two Arts & Letters courses from the approved AAOT list.

Choose two Science courses with a lab from the approved AAOT list.

Choose two Social Science courses from the approved AAOT list.

If the credit total for the required courses is less than 30 credits, select an Elective from the AAOT course list.

At least one course must be designated as meeting the criteria for Cultural Literacy. This course is not an additional course, it could also meet an Arts & Letters or a Social Science requirement.

Excludes MTH 110.
Additional Requirements
- No course substitutions allowed.
- All courses must be passed with a C or better and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 is required.
Additional Program Information
- Students should work closely with UCC advisors and faculty to select appropriate courses.
- The CTM is not a separate program but will be notated on transcripts as a block when complete.
- Completing the CTM does not guarantee admission to a university, students must still meet the admissions requirements.
